Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the questions that our tenants ask us most frequently. For any other question, do not hesitate to contact us on our dedicated page .

Is it quiet, close to shops and the sea? The village of Brusc is one of the last on the Côte d'Azur to preserve its authenticity and tranquility, including in the summer. The area where the property is located, 500 m from the town centre, is even quieter. There are 8 single-storey gîtes on site on the 4000 m2 of the property, as well as our own house. This makes it possible to preserve the independence and tranquility of each while respecting the rules of life common to all: No noise pollution between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. The most famous beach for the Six Fournais: the beach of Cros, is only 400 meters from your Gîte! It is supervised in summer and it wins the Blue Flag for the quality of its waters. Composed of sand, it offers a magnificent view of the island of Embiez. In the Brusc lagoon, the Posidonia meadows, these aquatic flowering plants, endemic to the Mediterranean Sea, constitute the major ecosystem: protection of marine fauna and oxygenation of the water, a real bio indicator of the state health in our coastal area. Do you prefer the wild sides of a creek or a creek? Head to the Gaou peninsula or Mont Salva less than 2 km away...

Can I cancel my reservation ? Until the 30th day before your arrival, your deposit is fully refunded. Then, if you do not have cancellation insurance: - Cancellation between the 29th and 22nd day inclusive: 70% of the deposit retained. - Cancellation between the 21st and 15th day inclusive: 90% of the deposit retained. - Cancellation between the 14th and 8th day inclusive: 100% of the deposit retained. - Cancellation between the 7th day and the start of the stay: The full rental price is payable.

Why take out cancellation insurance? As soon as you make your reservation, check that your multi-risk home insurance contract does indeed have rental civil liability protection, known as Resort, insuring all the premises entrusted to you, for damage such as fire, explosion, water damage which could be caused by you or your hosts during the rental period. A copy of this resort insurance will be requested upon arrival. Otherwise, especially for residents outside France, subscription is mandatory. Also, we strongly recommend that you take out additional insurance online. We recommend Chapka Assurances or Trustiway Assurance which cover you for the holiday but also cancellation (allowing the refund of your deposit) or interruption of stay, Covid 19 included. The rates are 3.5% including tax of the total amount of the rental (15€ minimum). Example: only 35€ spent for a rent of 1000€ to be 100% quiet! (Attention: At Chapka Assurance everything is done online and the confirmation period is 48 hours; At Trustiway Assurance the confirmation period is a maximum of 10 days upon receipt of your booking confirmation). In summary, to be done as soon as you receive your contract!

Why pay a tourist tax? The tourist tax is a tax which is requested by the municipalities with a tourist vocation from their holidaymakers. Its purpose is to help municipal councils finance expenses related to tourist attendance and the protection of natural areas for holidaymakers. We will collect this tax on your arrival and return it at the end of each month to the Métrople Toulon Provence Méditerranée. The tourist tax is due per adult and per night. Its amount varies according to the classification of the Gîte: 1 star or ears of corn = 1.11 € /Night/Pers 2 stars or ears = 1.30 € /Night/Pers 3 stars or ears = 1.86 € /Night/Pers

Will there be someone to greet me when I arrive? We will be present to show you your Gîte, carry out an inventory, answer your questions and explain to you how the property works from 4:00 p.m. Do not hesitate to contact us with your estimated time of arrival.

What should I bring for my stay? In terms of bedding, you will need to bring your own sheets and towels unless you have chosen options. Think about pillowcases and bolsters depending on the size of the beds: 140 x 190 (2 people standard) and 90 x 190 for 1 person. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. However, if you notice an omission, do not hesitate to let us know. We can even lend you a fondue, raclette or stone grill.

Should I clean up when I leave? In order to allow everyone to control their budget, we have chosen not to invoice this service automatically and call on the know-how of our visitors. However, the cleaning of the Gîte remains your responsibility during the rental period and before departure. The Gîte must be left in perfect condition. At the end of your stay, if you have not opted for the cleaning package, you will have to do the cleaning and return the Gîte to us as initially given, including in terms of cleanliness and this imperatively before 10:00 a.m. In the event of a breach, a deduction of €60 from the deposit may be made.

How to come by public transport, parking available? For people arriving by public transport from Toulon station, you will need to take bus 70 Vauban station. 28 stations later, change at Font de Fillol for bus 87 towards Les Sablettes and get off 8 stations after, stop at Les Faïsses; i.e. 1 good hour to cover the 15 km. Then, with or without a car, you no longer need a means of transport if you wish! You leave your vehicle at the bottom of the field (1 space allocated per accommodation) and do everything on foot or by bike given the privileged location of your Gîte: beach and mini-market 400 m away; village with its shops and restaurants 500 m away!

Is a deposit required? The deposit is used to guarantee the costs of redemptions and repairs following damage that may be caused by the tenants. It is compulsory, in the amount of 300 €, and allows entry into the premises. We recommend that you write a check which will not be cashed if no problem is encountered and which will be returned to you during the exit inventory.

Are activities offered? Within the property, we provide free for all our tenants the bowling green, Finnish skittles, table tennis, books, board games, mountain bikes and paddles (to be made available to all after each use) and a BBQ/Plancha area. In addition, all activities, especially nautical, are offered on the Brusc or in the surrounding area, including deep-sea fishing, parasailing, boat rental, jet skis, diving...

Are the accommodations always cleaned ? In view of COVID-19, we are strengthening our housing maintenance measures according to the recommendations of the health authorities. Even if the rental was left very clean by the previous tenant, we intervene by airing the rooms for several hours, then cleaning with the usual detergents and finally using a bleach-based solution on all surfaces, including the wrists doors and switches. (A departure before 10 a.m. is therefore essential to guarantee compliance with the health protocol).

What means of payment are accepted? You can pay in cash, by cheque, bank transfer, bank card via Stripe, Holiday vouchers and even Holiday vouchers Connect! Asture 1: in the event of full payment in holiday vouchers, send us the deposit by mail with a check in order to block the reservation. Not cashed, it will be returned to you on your arrival or will serve as a deposit! Tip 2: It is preferable for the deposit of 300 € to write a check on arrival. Indeed the latter will not be cashed and will be returned to you at the end of your stay if everything is OK.

How can I be sure of the quality of the gîte? Our rentals are classified as Gites de France or Atout France. These are the only 2 organizations that contribute to the quality of the tourist accommodation offer in France. Ears for one (from 1 to 4), stars for the other, provide an official guarantee of quality of service and comfort. Every 5 years, the classification criteria change. There is then a reassessment of the accommodation, carried out by inspection bodies accredited by Cofrac (the only reference body in terms of accreditation). The classification of a furnished rental is carried out following the request of its owner, but especially after the visit of a trained and approved inspector who will be responsible for checking everything on 12 criteria divided into 3 distinct categories, namely: - Equipment and fittings; - The quality of services provided to visitors; - Accessibility and sustainable development of housing

Are animals accepted? We love animals. Depending on the season, you will also have the opportunity to meet our free range hens! However, despite all our love for animals, they are not allowed in the gîtes given the risk of degradation and noise. If you are sure that your animal is well behaved even in the event of prolonged absence of its masters, please contact us before any reservation in order to validate together the possible companion at an additional cost!
